THE HOUSE THAT HOPE BUILT
Inside The Pink House, the Charlotte community behind Carolina BreastFriends and its celebrated Roaring in Pink gala.

Every day, someone walks through the doors of The Pink House for the very first time.
Some arrive newly diagnosed and overwhelmed. Others are months or years beyond treatment, searching for connection with people who truly understand. Many simply need a place where they can ask questions, find encouragement, and remember they don't have to face breast cancer alone.
That's exactly why Carolina Breast Friends exists.
For more than two decades, Carolina Breast Friends has been providing free programs and services that support Survivors, Thrivers, Co-Survivors, and their families throughout every stage of the breast cancer journey. At the heart of the organization is The Pink House, a welcoming community where individuals impacted by breast cancer find mentoring, wellness programs, support groups, educational workshops, retreats, the Pink Boutique, and meaningful connections that often become lifelong friendships
It's a place built on one simple belief: healing happens best when no one has to walk the journey alone.
That belief comes to life every day inside The Pink House. And, each fall, it shines even brighter through Roaring in Pink, Carolina Breast Friends' signature fundraising event.
This year's gala, Roaring in Pink: A Night of a Thousand Lights, has already become one of the organization's most celebrated milestones, selling out in just 17 days. While guests will experience an unforgettable evening of elegance, entertainment, and inspiration, the event represents something much greater than a sold-out ballroom.
Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship secured, every auction bid placed, and every donation made helps ensure that the programs and services offered through The Pink House remain available at no cost to those who need them most.
One of the evening's most anticipated highlights is the exclusive runway presentation by internationally acclaimed couturier Luis Machicao. A longtime supporter of Carolina Breast Friends, Luis will debut his Holiday 2027 Collection, generously donating proceeds from every gown sold to benefit the mission of Carolina Breast Friends. His partnership is a beautiful example of how fashion can become a force for compassion, bringing together artistry, generosity, and purpose in support of Survivors and Thrivers throughout our community.
Although this year's event is officially sold out, there is still an opportunity to be part of the evening's impact.
Community members can register as Virtual Bidders, allowing them to participate in the silent auction from anywhere. From one-of-a-kind experiences and exclusive packages to Luis Machicao couture, every winning bid directly supports the life-changing work happening every day at The Pink House.
Roaring in Pink may last for one extraordinary evening, but its impact is felt every day, in every support group, every mentoring relationship, every educational program, every wellness class, and every person who discovers hope through Carolina Breast Friends.
Because behind Charlotte's most meaningful gala is something even more extraordinary: a community that believes no one should face breast cancer alone.
