For the discerning design enthusiast, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House serves as the seasonal North Star, and the 2026 Palm Beach edition is set to be the most ambitious in the event’s history. This year, the showcase breaks tradition by expanding into a two-property experience along North Flagler Drive, offering twice the inspiration for its month-long run.

The event is anchored by "The Intracoastal House," a sprawling 4,500-square-foot waterfront estate featuring five bedrooms, a private dock with three boat slips, and a 50-foot pool that overlooks the water. In a first for the organization, designers will also transform "The Palm Cottage," a charming and sophisticated three-bedroom residence located directly across the street. This dual-format allows the nation’s top interior designers to explore a fascinating juxtaposition of styles, from high-octane, resort-scale luxury at the water's edge to the more intimate, "new-traditionalist" charm of a tropical retreat.

The 2026 designer roster reads like a "who’s who" of the industry, featuring visionaries such as Amy Young, Sergio Mercado of BAMO, and Lisa Erdmann, alongside rising stars like Rayana Schmitz of Firefinish Interiors. Visitors can expect to see a heavy emphasis on "soulful luxury"—a movement away from stark minimalism toward environments rich in texture, depth, and history. Key trends likely to dominate the rooms include the rise of the "Cocoon" bedroom, characterized by floor-to-ceiling upholstered walls and layered textiles, as well as the use of unlacquered "living finishes" like brass and hand-rubbed stone that develop a personal patina over time.
Beyond the aesthetic spectacle, the show house remains a vital philanthropic engine, having raised over $33 million for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. The Opening Day Preview on February 24 is the season's premier social fixture, offering an exclusive first look at the trends that will define high-end residential design for the year ahead.
