Summer Splendor

The Hamptons’ most exclusive destination welcomes guests to a season of breathtaking scenery, plush accommodations, and coastal bliss.

With its rich heritage, intimate charm, and pristine aesthetics, The Baker House 1650 is the ideal getaway. Nestled in the village of East Hampton, the main house is a historic masterpiece showcasing 17th Century Cotswold-inspired architecture mixed with the homey aura of a superb English manor.

But don’t be fooled by its antique setting—The Baker House 1650 presents every modern accommodation, convenience, and amenity one could possibly need. It is, in a way, a jack of all trades, effortlessly able to transform from The Hamptons’ finest bed and breakfast into an intimate venue for events, dinner and cocktail parties, weddings, engagements, and more.

Five rooms are dispersed throughout The Baker House, each featuring a luxurious layout unique to their own history, design, and theme. The Gardiner offers a pale yellow color scheme and airy sophistication with a romantic overlook to the English gardens and creeping 200-year-old wisteria. While in The Maidstone, occupants can enjoy a peaceful vista of the village green and a historic windmill, plus an electric fireplace, spa tub, and antique pedestal sink.

Part of the original 1648 house, The Hedges invites guests to a tranquil respite with its warm interior, outdoor terrace, and wood-burning fireplace. The Huntting—also preserved from the original home—is the epitome of authentic charm with hand-hewn wood beams, large windows overlooking the village green, and claw-footed tub perfect for a bubble bath.

Situated on a private, landscaped acre just behind The Baker House, The Carriage House is known for its impeccable restoration, secluded charm, and memorable nature. Its crowning jewel: The Loft, an expansive second-floor loft with a private entrance. Visitors are greeted with a spiral staircase, wood-burning fireplace, and his and hers reading nooks. Deeper in, a 115-square-foot bath is positioned near a double marble vanity sink, spacious glass-enclosed shower, and two-person Origami Masseur Tub.

During their stay, all guests are invited to indulge in The Baker Spa’s complimentary, state-of-the-art facilities. From therapeutic massages, facials, and treatments to a hydra jacuzzi soaking tub, eucalyptus steam shower, sauna, and counter-current swimming pool, relaxation is only a short descent away—down the mahogany paneled staircase of the main building, to be exact.

Other notable property features include a sumptuous, daily breakfast with locally-sourced ingredients served gardenside, well-stocked bars, impeccable English gardens, and a sweeping lawn. Those hoping to make progress on their summer book list can lounge by the infinity-edge pool, while adventure-seekers are offered a myriad of recreation and water sport activities in the

surrounding towns. Known for its affluence, the East Hampton area is also the ideal setting for endless dining, shopping, and tasting tours.

The Baker House 1650 is located 181 Main Street East Hampton. For more information, visitwww.bakerhouse1650.com or call 631.324.4081 to make a booking.
